BLAKE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

Blake Christian Academy is a nationally accredited Montessori-based Christian school through International League of Christian Schools (ILCS) and it's state affiliate, Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS).  Founded in 1990 by Blake Baptist Church of Lake Helen, FL, as a ministry for tutoring afterschool children, to now a school serving two year old through 8th grade scholars, we adhere to a philosophy and method of education that is geared toward developing creative, independent children who have an enthusiasm for learning. Scientific research has proven that children learn by doing. We have taken this Montessori philosophy and incorporated it into an individualized developmentally hands-on learning program.

Our AMS (American Montessori Society) certified teachers and state certified teachers have years of experience working with individual needs. In everything we teach, from Science and Cultural Studies, Classical Art & Practical Life, to Math, Bible, Reading, Grammar, Organic Gardening and so much more, our students learn by experimenting, touching, feeling and doing.

It is our mission to provide families with a Christian Montessori education that celebrates the individual gifts of each child, nurtures a passion for learning and Biblical principles, and equips them for academic excellence and discipleship. It is an exciting time at Blake Christian Academy as we continue to expand grade levels, going up through 8th Grade in 2023-2024, as our current students continue to grow.

We host an Open House every January for families that are interested in the school. Prospective families will be able to tour the classrooms and campus, meet our faculty, and see the Montessori Curriculum. You will have the opportunity to visit a classroom from each program level in the school, starting with the Toddler classroom for two- and three-year-olds, all the way through our Adolescent program for students in grades seven and eight.
